We offer help in a variety of ways to suit you:
We’ve collected the most commonly asked questions by parents and young people. There are often many people experiencing the same issues and you may be able to find the answers you are looking for before contacting us.
The helpline is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, 9:00 – 13:00 and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, between 13:00 and 17:00. Through the helpline, we offer impartial advice and signposting to help you to find the answers you need to navigate any issues you might be facing.
In both the city and the county the Local Offer websites pull together details of special needs services in education, health and social care in one place. They are a one-stop shop for everything parents or carers need to know and every SEND service they might need to access. For Nottingham City, please visit Ask LION and for Nottinghamshire, visit Nottinghamshire Help Yourself.
Here you will find links to other services and groups who may be able to help and support you.
We have a range of downloadable guides and leaflets covering a range of topics.
Whether you’re new to disability or not, it can be easy to be overwhelmed by the abbreviations and technical wording used by professionals when talking about your child. We explain it all on our jargon buster page here.
